Information Age - The Cell
The Cell is part of the new permanent gallery at the Science Museum exploring the impact of 200 years of communication technology.
The Cell examines the role of the smartphone in everyday life through a series of short narratives, visitors were invited to use their own phones to join the story as voyeurs on the characters phones while the story unfolded on a large projection screen.
Utilising a novel 'onboarding' mechanism to connect visitors phones without the need for installing any apps the exhibit delivered an immediate lightweight way for visitors to connect with the gallery.
